Mitutoyo, manufactures of precision measuring equipment required a Control System for their new Training Room. RIB was chosen to provide the system whilst working with Jamie McCall Electrical. The system needed to be intuitive so that users could quickly set the room up exactly as needed; providing total room control incorporating the lighting and blinds.
The risk in situations like this is that the huge diversity of devices which need to be displayed on the screen can often result in a team huddles around a laptop all due to the lack of a compatible video connector.
The solution RIB devised was to provide a Control4 touchscreen with a customised interface. With. The addition of a Control4 Processor and Lighting Controller connected to the lights and Somfy Blinds. While a Presentation Switcher and Control4 Amplifier were used to deliver Sound and Video to the 80” LG screen and in-ceiling Speakers.
With the addition of a HD Video Balun installed at the Lectern for HDMI or Displayport connections, a Barco Clickshare was used to allow Screen Sharing from any Laptop as well as iPad mirroring.
The on-site support technician is able to provide remote support from anywhere in the building using the same interface as on the touchscreen allowing a seamless delivery of information.
